Today is 34 weeks and 4 days! We are scheduled for a c-section this Wednesday morning, December 14.
Our babies’ estimated weights are 4 lbs, 2 oz and 4 lbs, 14 oz. That puts Baby A’s weight on the low side. Our doc explained her placenta is poopin’ out, meaning the placenta is not providing enough nutrients to grow. At this point, it is better to go ahead and bring them into the world rather than try to keep them in utero. So off the Procardia I go (to stop contractions), and we’re holding our breath till Wednesday.
I’ts crazy to believe that in less that 48 hours Chris and I will be a mom and dad. Whoa! But, we are very excited and can’t wait to meet our baby girls.
Thank you all for your many prayers. Keep on praying, the girls will probably be in NICU for a few weeks.
It’s been a journey of 13 weeks of bed rest, 5 hospital visits, terbutaline shots, 1 mag treatment, indocin, procardia, and home monitoring. But, comforting with my amazing husband Chris, and dog Miles at my side. Poor fellow, our doggie is going to fall way down the totem pole when the girls get here.
