About

I’m a scatterbrained, type A wanna-be woman on a life-long quest to become a better woman of God. Wife of Chris, 34 year old mom to twins Kaitlyn and Ava, part-time database administrator.

I’m a writer and avid reader of anything to help me grow. I’m a teacher at heart and love to share and encourage lessons learned, including the hard ones.

This my personal blog where I share my journey of life lessons learned. I write about parenthood, relationships, productivity, Christianity, and photos of the ones I love.

Photos are taken by your truly unless indicated on a Canon EOS 20D, 50mm f1.8 lens. It’s an oldie, but it fit my budget and it works for our little family!

Hugs!

  1. I read through a few of your posts and all I can say is, Wow! You seem to be an incredibly organized and ambitious woman. I no longer have little kids, but life can still be crazy and hectic with three teenagers. I am going to follow you just for the bible study and tips on organizing my life! Thanks for doing all of this and sharing it with all of us out here in Never Never Land. Don’t ever let it interfere with your family though, they are the most precious part of our lives.

  2. I agree you seem extremely organized. I definitely could use some help in that category. With 5 kids and one on the way and everything else that goes along with my hectic life…organization is an afterthought. But I strive to get there:)

    • Thanks! I sure do appreciate your feedback. You know, my girls are the 5th set of twins on my husband’s grandmother’s side. Everyone of them is the result of fertility treatments. Pretty crazy, huh?

  3. I cannot not begin to thank you enough for stopping over and following my humble blog-o-thing! I wish you the very best, be inspired and take care!
*Gosh your kids are so cute! Well done Mom and Dad!!!*

  4. Yes indeed, what very beautiful family.!! Enjoy your blog and I didnt know where to comment to you, but, good taste for reblogging Chattermaster (I think that his name). Seems to relate to all parents no matter age your children are….mine is ten !! You are beautiful, vibrant and young….wishing you the very best !!

  5. Your blog is amazing! I am a twin mom on bed rest and love reading your inspiring notes. I was thinking about starting a blog as well but have no idea where to start and wondered if you had some tips? Thank you!

    • Hi Alex, How are you doing on bed rest? What week are your twins?

Blogging during your bed rest is a great idea. I recommend just writing about what you are thinking that day. Bored in bed? Then write about ways to keep you occupied. What are you reading? What makes you scared? What makes you hopeful? Sooo many topics to blog about during this season. AND, hopefully you’ll inspire someone else. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, you humble me. 🙂 I’d love to see your blog when you get started.

    • Oh thank you Valerie! This is quite an honor. Sorry, I’ve been out of pocket these last few weeks. Out of the past 8 weeks, I have had sick babies for 6 weeks! They are just now getting better, although have sniffles. Thanks again!

  6. Hi Maya!
Just found you via Top Mommy Blogs – I’m a mother of twin girls, as well, 20 months old. I also have a surprise bundle arriving in September, which should be fun…and crazy. I love reading about other moms of twins! Cute blog, cute family and very sweet sentiments in your writing. Can’t wait to follow along!

    • Wonderful! 🙂 I’m looking forward to this! My goals are going to revolve around water consumption and drinking my protein drink.

What do you think?
