For the month of December I’ve taken on AtlantaMomOfThree’s Health and Fitness Challenge. She challenged us to set an exercise goal for the month and to report how we did on Mondays.
My goal: Exercise 15 minutes, 3 times a week. (A difficult goal since I have twin toddlers and, I have a part-time job.)
How did I do this week?
- 2o minutes of Jillian Michael’s 30 day Shred. Wow, day 1 was intense. Jillian had you doing lunges while doing biceps curls. I was so sore the next day, I could barely walk!
- 2o minutes of Jilian Michael’s 30 day Shred.
- Doh, that’s all I did this week!
So this is the second week in a row that I only exercised twice. It’s tough getting moving at all with the holidays. So, this week is the big Christmas week. Maybe my family can go for one of those 15 minute strolls post Christmas meal. Let’s see how I do.
Happy Exercising!

Not sure if I’ll have to time to squeeze in a walk before the holidays. Maybe this weekend is more realistic. Have a very Merry Christmas, Maya! Wishing you and your beautiful family great joy and peace. 🙂
Merry Christmas to you too!
Good luck! A stretch of 15-20 minutes to devote to exercise can be a challenge with little ones. I find as a mother of your children, I get plenty of cardio exercise anyway chasing the toddler (pushing the stroller up giant hills)–and I grab my exercise throughout the day in 2 minute increments. A plank here. A set of squats there. A few crunchies… Just a thought. For the days when you just know a walk or full video session won’t happen.
Ha! You are so right. My strength training is holding 2 babies at once! 🙂
/mother of young children, not mother of your children/ Gah!
🙂
