Married With Twins

The challenge of parenthood is teaching me to trust in God rather than myself.

Paul wrote to the Corinthians about the affliction he was burdened with in Asia.  It was so excessive, that he despaired even of life.  I can now understand, when plagued with lack of sleep and sickly crying babies, how parents can despair in the tough moments. Indeed, we had the sentence of death within ourselves so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead (2 Corinthians 1:9).

My current suffering is so I trust in God, rather than myself. What a great life lesson to learn in life.
